Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Zoom has been quite active in the field. It is essentially a video-calling app, which can help you to talk with several people at once. If you do have a decent network connection, then you would also not have to worry about buffers as well.
Hence, all-in-all, the app can help you to make your office environment more efficient and ecstatic. Anyways, to make its feature-rich app even more exciting and appealing, Zoom has recently announced about a compatibility feature for smart displays (Google Nest, Amazon Echo), etc. Let’s check out a little bit more about it.
When Did Zoom Make the Announcement?
The talk about the Home Support feature started to round up in the month of June. However, the organization itself has made the announcement in July. Moreover, the organization has released a brand new range of displays as well. So, if you do not have Amazon Echo or Google Nest, then you may purchase it as well. They have a price tag of around USD 599.
When Will This Feature Be Available?
As per the recent announcement, the Facebook Portal is going to get the Home Support feature in the month of September. You will be able to play it on Portal Mini, Portal+, Portal smart displays. According to the rumors, the support for Portal TV, too, will be available in the upcoming months.
Conversely, the feature will come a little bit later on Google Nest and Amazon Echo. The date has not been confirmed yet. However, Zoom has said that it will be available in the fall of this year. However, we haven’t got any news or confirmation news about the official launch date of the new update.

What Will be New in this Update?
Both Amazon Echo and Google Nest users are going to get something new through this new update. For starters, the Amazon Echo owners will be able to employ Alexa voice commands to activate video-conference meetings in Zoom.
Moreover, if you can interlink Alexa with the app’s calendar, then the scheduled meetings will start automatically. Similarly, you can use the Zoom on Google Nest through voice commands as well. However, the automated meeting start option will probably come later on the same.
