The series stars Aditya Roy Kapur as Shaan Sengupta, a former Lieutenant in the Indian Navy who is recruited by the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) to infiltrate the inner circle of Shelly Rungta (Anil Kapoor), a powerful arms dealer.

The series begins with Shaan working as a night manager in a Dhaka hotel. He is approached by Safina Kidwai, a 14-year-old girl who is married to the majority share owner of the hotel, Freddie Rehman. Safina begs Shaan to help her escape to India, but he is unable to do so. She is later killed by Shelly’s men.

Two years later, Shaan is living in Shimla, working as a night manager in a resort. One day, Shelly and his associates arrive at the resort. Shaan collects information from Shelly’s trash and mails it to Lipika Rao (Tillotama Shome), a RAW officer.

Lipika is impressed by Shaan’s skills and asks him to go undercover as Shelly’s right-hand man to expose his dark secrets. Shaan agrees and begins to infiltrate Shelly’s inner circle. He gains Shelly’s trust and even wooes his wife, Kaveri (Sobhita Dhulipala).

However, Shaan’s mission is not easy. He is constantly watched by Shelly’s men and must be careful not to reveal his true identity. He also faces opposition from within RAW, as some of the officers are corrupt and working for Shelly.

Despite the challenges, Shaan perseveres and eventually succeeds in bringing Shelly down. He exposes Shelly’s illegal activities and helps RAW arrest him.

Episode 1 – Shaan Sengupta, a night manager at a Dhaka hotel, witnesses a young girl being mistreated by one of the hotel’s guests, Freddie Rehman, a majority stakeholder in the hotel. Shaan tries to intervene, but Freddie is a powerful associate of Shelly Rungta, a billionaire arms dealer. 

Shaan is fired from his job and vows to take down Shelly. Two years later, Shaan is working as a night manager at a Shimla hotel. Shelly arrives at the hotel with his entourage, and Shaan begins to gather intelligence on him. He also meets Lipika Rao, a RAW officer who is also investigating Shelly.

Episode 2 – Shaan orchestrates a fake kidnapping of Shelly’s daughter, Taha, which allows him to infiltrate Shelly’s inner circle. He also begins a romantic relationship with Kaveri, Shelly’s wife.

Episode 5 – Lipika’s team exposes Shelly’s connection to “Indranush” and implicates Mittal. Shelly installs Shaan as CEO with retinal authorization. Shelly kills GV over leaked notes. Mittal reveals he’s Indranush and orders Lipika to cease her operation. Lipika fails to rescue Shaan, who escapes with Shelly’s crew while GV is murdered by Shelly.

Episode 6 – Mittal pressures Lipika for her insider’s identity and arranges a committee hearing. Shelly suspects a traitor in Shaan’s crew. In Dubai, Shaan demonstrates weapons to generals and Mr. “What’s in a Name.” Shelly manipulates Kevira into portraying BJ as the spy and kills him in the process.

Episode 7 – Shelly learns of the setup regarding Taha’s kidnapping and realizes his phone was swapped. Shaan destroys the weapons, and frames Shelly with evidence, leading to his arrest. However, Shelly’s fate takes a dark turn as What’s-in-a-Name’s associate takes control of the prison van. Kevira is freed, and Shaan seeks closure for Safina’s death.
