Spencer Tracy was born on 5th April 1900, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents John Edward Tracy and Caroline Brown. Growing up in a Catholic household, his father worked as a truck salesman, while his mother belonged to a wealthy family. Tracy also had an older brother named Caroll, whom he grew up with.
As for education, Tracy changed several schools during his childhood, before joining Ripon College in Wisconsin. There, he discovered his passion for theatre, causing his love for acting to grow.
