Alternatively, the concept of “Star Trek: Legacy” has been floated, following a new generation of Starfleet officers aboard the Enterprise in the 25th century. This could potentially feature cameos from the Next Generation cast, passing the torch to a fresh crew while maintaining continuity with the established universe.

All that said, all of this seems to be speculation at the minute. There’s no way for us to confirm how things would pan out unless we get further details about the show’s renewal and release date down the line. It would also be quite interesting to see how things pan out if the creators decide to renew the show instead of benching it like they initially envisioned.
