However, soon after, we find that Ai is murdered and Gorou is killed in the process when he tries to save Ai. What happens after leaves everyone shocked.
Gorou and Ai are reborn as twins, Aquamarine and Ruby Hoshino. Aquamarine is a boy, and Ruby is a girl. Aquamarine has the memories of his previous life, but Ruby does not.
