Google Pixel 4a 5G and Google Pixel 5 factory and OTA images are published by Google for the first time. The images are available on the website of Android developers.

Both the new smartphones were introduced at the beginning of this month. Just so you know both the phones will not be launched in India. They are limited only to 5G markets like France, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan, Ireland, the US, Taiwan, and the UK.

The images that are published by Google are meant for developers who tinker with skins and mods.

The Android developer’s website is updated by Google to show factory and OTA images of Google Pixel 4a 5G and Google Pixel 5.

The Pixel 5 hardware is named ‘redfin’, whereas the name of the Pixel 4a 5G hardware is ‘bramble.’ The factory and OTA images for both the smartphones have been published for the first time. The Pixel 5 comes with two links, one is meant for the KDDI network users in Japan, and the second one is for everyone else. However, for Pixel 4a 5G, there is only one link available.

These links are published only for developers who often do a lot of tinkering with the skins and mods. These images can be used by android developers to overcome blocks. They often come across problems in flashing or modified ROM development. Just to be clear, these images are not published for regular users.

Coming to the specs, both the smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. The phones are also equipped with the Titan M security chip. 

They have a dual rear camera setup. On the front, they have an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. The front camera is fitted in the hole-punch cut-out on the screen.

Both the smartphones have 128GB internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card. The price of Google Pixel 5 is around $699, whereas, the cost of Google Pixel 4a 5G is fixed at $499.

Both phones were released at the beginning of this month. Google has now published the factory and OTA images of the phones for the first time. The images can be found on the android developers site and are meant for developers, so that they can use it for software tinkering. Also, the phones will not be available in the Indian market.
