Good Omens is a mini TV series written and created by Neil Gaiman. It is based on the novel written by Neil Gaiman himself and Terry Pratchett. The show is directed by Douglas Mackinnon, while the music is provided by David Arnold.
The first season comes with a total of 6 episodes, each of which lasts for about an hour. With the release of just the first season, the show has gathered a strong fan base. Although the show was planned to be a one-season project, the last episode left us with many questions which can lead to the possibility of getting a second season.

After the grand success of the first season, fans are expecting to get a second season. However, nothing has been confirmed by BBC or Amazon. We don’t even know whether there will be a second season or not.
But there is some good news for the fans. Neil Gaiman is quite interested in continuing with the story. But on the other hand, Terry Pratchett, who is the co-author doesn’t have enough time to focus on another season. This leaves us in a dilemma whether the show will be renewed for season 2 or not.
We are still expecting to receive some good news about season 2 at the starting of 2021.

In case, we get a second season, we can expect to see the continuing friendship of Crowley and Aziraphale.
In season one, Crowley predicted about the war. If this happens, then they will make an effort to stop it. It’s quite difficult to guess the plot as the book from which the show is inspired doesn’t have any sequel.
We hope season 2 is announced soon as fans are eagerly waiting for it.

If you have finished watching the first and second seasons of Good Omens and have been wondering if there would be a third season, the answer seems to be inclining towards a yes.
In one of the recent interviews, the show’s lead creator and actor, Neil Gaiman, and co-author Terry Pratchett confirmed that they are considering the third season to be based on the “unwritten sequel” to the show. There are a lot of uncertainties at the moment but that seems to incline towards a possibility of the show making a comeback sometime in the future.
We’d have to wait for the showrunners and the networks to confirm what happens next.
