Despite warnings, he continued to be disorderly, leading to his removal and later being charged. He was later found guilty and faced 90 days in jail.

He passed away due to natural causes in his home on 24th February 2024. Following his death, the City of Flint honoured him for his dedicated service to the First Ward.
