Eli Tomac was born on 14th November 1992, in Cortez, Colorado. His father, John Tomac was a professional mountain bike racer, who has been a constant support for his son. Growing up in a family with a strong sporting background, Tomac was grew undoubtedly inspired to enter motorsports.
From a young age, Tomac was passionate about two wheels. He started riding dirt bikes when he was just a toddler and entered his first competition at the age of 15. It was his father who helped him develop his skills and become a professional rider as an adult.
With time and age, Tomac’s passion for motocross deepened as he began to take over the amateur circuits.
Eli Tomac’s professional career began in 2010 when he joined the Geico Honda team to compete in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. He ended up creating history by becoming the first rider to win their professional debut in the 250cc class. This sorted things for Tomac as he quickly became one of the rising stars in the sport.
Over the next few years, Tomac continued to perform well in both the AMA Supercross and Motocross Championships. In 2013, he won his first major title, Supercross West Championship. His success in the 250cc class led him to the premier 450cc class in 2014.
Fast forward to 2017, he won his first 450cc AMA Supercross Championship, which marked a significant milestone in his career. However, Tomac’s success did not stop there. He went on to win the 450cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship in 2018, and 2019.
