To create a world-class striker who can lead Japan to victory in the next World Cup, they hired the eccentric coach, Ego Jinpachi.
Ego plans to create a new training program called Blue Lock, which will bring together 300 of the best high school strikers in Japan and isolate them in a prison-like facility. The strikers will then compete against each other in a series of cutthroat matches, to become the “world’s greatest egotist striker.”
One of the strikers who is invited to Blue Lock is Yoichi Isagi, a talented player who is struggling to find his place on the field. Isagi is unsure of whether he wants to participate in Blue Lock’s cutthroat training program, but he is also determined to become the world’s best striker.
