Apple MacBook Air M3 15-Inch, 13-Inch Models Goes On Sale Today In India

Apple launched its MacBook Air models – the 15-inch and the 13-inch with the M3 chipset today in India. Both models are now available for purchase in the country.

The two new versions of MacBook Air, featuring the M3 chipset are available in 15-inch and 13-inch sizes and come with some upgrades for 2024. The main highlight is the 3nm M3 chipset, promising improved performance. The company claims these laptops can last up to 18 hours on a single charge.

The 13-inch MacBook Air starts at Rs. 1,14,900 for the base model with 256GB storage and 8GB RAM. For more storage, users can opt for the 512GB variant at Rs. 1,34,900, or go for the 512GB storage and 16GB RAM for Rs. 1,54,900.

Moving to the 15-inch model, the base variant with 256GB storage and 8GB RAM is priced at Rs. 1,34,900. For more storage, there’s the 512GB variant at Rs. 1,54,900 or the top model with 512GB storage and 16GB RAM for Rs. 1,74,900. Both the MacBook Air versions come in four color options – Starlight, Midnight, Space Grey, and Silver.

These new MacBook Air models are introduced in 28 countries. They are currently available for sale in India through Apple Store and Apple Authorized Resellers.

In terms of specifications, both models are backed by the M3 SoC, similar to the MacBook Pro (2023) versions. They also feature a new and powerful 16-core Neural Engine, enhancing on-device machine learning capabilities. 

Apple claims these laptops are 60% faster than the previous M1 models. They provide 13 times faster performance than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air. Additionally, they come with an AV1 decode engine for enhanced video streaming quality.

The MacBook Air 2024 models are designed to support dual external displays when closed, Voice Isolation, Wide Spectrum Microphone modes, and WiFi 6E. Apple claims that both the laptops have 18 hours of battery life. 

Additionally, the laptops are equipped with a Liquid Retina display with a peak brightness of 500 nits and resolution of 2,560 x 1,664 pixels. RAM options range up to 16GB, which can be upgraded up to 24GB. As for storage options, the top model has 512GB storage space, which can be upgraded up to 2TB. 

Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a MagSafe 3 charging port. For connectivity needs, the laptops have two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports.
