Ikon's David Angell Moves To UM As Melbourne GM

May 28, 2012: UM Australia is further investing in senior management talent with the appointment of David Angell as general manager of the agency’s Melbourne operations.
 
A highly experienced and respected media executive, Angell is formerly client service director at Ikon Melbourne, leading the Myer business. He will start work at UM on July 2nd and report to Melbourne managing director Wendy Gower.
 
UM Australia CEO Mat Baxter said, "David's appointment is testament to the growth we're experiencing in Melbourne. We want to ensure our clients continue to have access to senior resources and experience as we grow in the market.”
 
Gower said that Angell’s seniority and industry experience made him a valuable addition to UM’s management ranks. As well as his leading role on Myer, Angell’s experience has been across major brands including Jetstar, General Mills, iiNet and BP.  
 
Angell said: "I am joining UM at an incredibly exciting time. The agency is on a roll and the opportunity to contribute as general manager and help lead theagency to even greater heights was something I just couldn't turn down."
